The Uhthoff Trail runs between Coldwater and Orillia .... about 22 km. A feature of the trail is historic signage at the Uhthoff Trail.

gps route for a late fall cycle along the 3 trails I have gpx format if you want a copy

In Coldwater find the fire hall ... trail starts behind it

stone dust trail for the next 22 km through rural settings

Uhthoff trail map at Coldwater end of trail

numerous road crossings with narrow bike passage area

Uhthoff quarry view area with nice signage

probable origin of the name Uhthoff explained

trail goes under highway #11 and you are almost at the end

nice fall ride ..... met a few other cyclists and hikers

At Wilsons Point Park which the entrance to Orillia, the trail's name changes to the Lightfoot Trail. This short trail takes you through Orillia via  Couchiching Park

At Wilsons Point Park trail continues into Orillia as the Lightfoot Trail

fall day on Lightfoot Trail

trail takes you into Couchiching Park .... use paved trail by shoreline

some signage in Couchiching Park for trail routes

park building dispaly large scale map with trails shown

To continue south, you want to find the Orillia RR station .... easy to spot, short on road connection

Once through Orillia, there is an easy link to the north end of the Oro-Medonte trail. Although the first part of the link is not clearly marked, you can find the Oro-Medonte Trail and then cycle southwards to Barrie.

Look for bakery across from the RR station .... Oro-Medonte Trail starts there ..... looks like abandoned driveway to start, no signage

1 km and then some signage and 'real' trail start across the road from this store .... hard to miss

Cross busy street and look carefully for Oro-Medonte trail map kiosk

You are on your way south to Barrie .... soon out of Orillia

stone dust rail surface through rural setting

O-M trail has map kiosks at every road crossing. Only cycled to the 12 line on this trip .... will return next summer
